In Conversation with author of novels, podcasts, screenplays and audio dramas Helen Cross and ICE Writing for Performance tutor Clare Bayley.

Helen Cross is the author of four novels including My Summer of Love, which became an award-winning movie staring Emily Blunt. Two of her original screenplays are currently in development with UK film companies. Her stories are published in various magazines and anthologies, including most recently The Manchester Review, Popshot and, Digbeth Stories.   She is the recipient of fellowships and scholarships from Arts Council of England, The British Council, Cove Park, and Banff Centre for Arts, Canada. She has written audio drama for BBC radio for over twenty years, including,  most recently, the acclaimed BBC Limelight podcast series English Rose Seasons 1 and 2, currently available on BBC Sounds.  Her next work for audio is the BBC Afternoon Drama, Flixborough ’74, to be broadcast on 28 May 2024.
